Who we are ...

We have an organic farm on the Welsh Borders where, for 25 years, we have been growing medicinal herbs for tinctures, ointments and oils.
 
Paul and his wife Carol felt it would be a natural progression to use the wonderful qualities of our herbs to create unique skin care products, made by hand, on the farm.
 
The result is the product range we now offer, with more to come as the range develops further.
 
Paul oversees the growing and nurturing of the herbs, while Rupert manages the cultivation, planting and harvesting. They are ably assisted by James, who also looks after the drier, and Gabriel who also helps with all-round maintenance.
 
The skin care products themselves are made in small batches by Carol and Jayne, using traditional methods.
 
HERBFARMACY is committed to reducing the carbon footprint of its activities and is commissioning a detailed carbon audit and action plan. Our aim is to become Carbon Positive over time.
 
One percent of product sales will be kept aside to fund a programme of alternative energy generation, starting with solar heating of water for processing and cleaning. The refurbishment of the ointment and oil-making rooms, to accommodate the new products, has involved extensive use of insulation materials made locally, and the southerly aspect of the building will lend itself well to harvesting the sun.
