We have been supplying a combination of Comfrey and Hypericum oil as a muscular rub for several years, and in this gently warming, easily applied balm we have introduced the beautiful Meadowsweet growing naturally here on our herb farm. This contains salicylates with their mild pain-relieving properties the Spiraea, of the latin name, is the origin of the name aspirin. Comfrey contains allantoin with its repair and renewal properties and its use for muscular aches and pains is legendary. Use after a hard days physical work, and for knocks, aches and muscle or joint fatigue.

I use this balm whenever I feel any tight muscles or aches coming on and it really helps soothe any pain. It also makes a noticeable difference the next day when applied overnight. Very useful for strains and muscle fatigue after heavy exercise.
